Effective teaching case studies

Case 1

Positive practice

- Teacher is hardworking, motivated and invests herself in building relationships with students

- Teacher is well organized, neat, and with good classroom maintenance and organization

- Teacher is socially active and well engaged and contributes to school even outside her teaching hours

Performance gaps

- The teacher had developed her routine and didn’t step outside of it

- Teacher doesn't challenge students and sparks students curiosity

- The teacher doesn’t take learners' needs into consideration (Doing lessons for the sake to be done)

Room for improvement

- Work more on differentiation, scaffolding, and understanding student profiles

- Make assessments more meaningful (to spark curiosity and prompt learning)

- Engage students

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in a school setting are measurable criteria used to evaluate and assess the performance and effectiveness of various aspects of the educational institution. These KPIs help administrators, teachers, and stakeholders gauge the school's progress, make informed decisions, and identify areas for improvement.
